The objective of this workshop on Genetics organized by the Spanish Society of Genetics, is to get together a big part of the Spanish researchers in metagenomics for an update on the most interesting and latest areas of investigation that have been developed in this subject. As usual, the idea that guides the training sessions is to provide the young researchers some knowledge that comes to complete their formation and stimulate new platforms of scientific development. Dr Marina Sánchez Hidalgo, from MEDINA, discussed on “the biosynthetic potential of the microbial diversity in the discovery of new drugs and other biotechnological products.”
