SDDN 2022 Satellite workshop: EU-OPENSCREEN & ES-OPENSCREEN Academic Compounds Initiative. Fundacion MEDINA, November 23, 2022.
The Satellite workshop side by side to the XIV Spanish Drug Discovery Network Meeting, was directed to synthetic and natural products chemists interested in submitting their molecules to the new libraries of the EU-OPENSCREEN and ES-OPENSCREEN initiatives in order to allow their bioprofiling and use in future screening campaigns to reveal new biological activities.
The initiative that was presented by Dr Olga Genilloud, Fundación MEDINA Scientific Director. The session was held both in person from MEDINA’s Auditorium, and online, and brought together a large group of professionals who exchanged their concerns and experiences on the aforementioned initiatives and were able to share impressions in the networking that followed.
The session ended with a tour to our facilities, guided by Dr Fernando Reyes, Head at Chemistry Area at Fundacion MEDINA, in which attendees were able to learn more about our work on the discovery of new bioactive compounds from microbial extracts.
