MEDINA participates in the new European project MarPipe, a new Innotivative Training Network (ITN) from the H2020-Marie Curie Actions program.Together with other 11 institutions from 8 countries, he program will ensure the training of 11 PhD students in the discovery of new drugs from marine microoranisms. This training program offers a unique opportunity to PhD students also complemented by the attendance to specific courses and workshops as well as short secondments in other centers participating in the project. At MEDINA Dr Olga Genilloud and Dr Fernando Reyes will supervise the research work of one of the students, which will be focused on the production and preclinical development of new bioactive antibiotics and anticancer compounds previously identified by the research organization.
