On the 26th of May, the FIRST MEETING ON METABOLOMICS AND CANCER was held in Jaen, Spain. This meeting exposed the clinical application of metabolomics in cancer and how it can be integrated with other techniques of liquid biopsy. Dr. Francisca Vicente from MEDINA attended as one of the moderators and Dr. Jose Pérez del Palacio discussed the ultimate technical and methodological advances brought by metabolomics and mass spectrometry in the search of new biomarkers.
