Members of the COST Action CM1406 EpichemBio (Epigenetic Chemical Biology) have met in Groningen, The Netherlands, on September 15-16 to identify new collaboration opportunities and discuss potential European proposals en the field of epigenetics. The key objective of the Action is to establish the first European chemical biology network focused on epigenetics and foster research in new chemical tools as well as leads for translational applications.
Dr Olga Genilloud, MEDINA scientific director of MEDINA and member of the Action, has presented the latest results on the epigenetic modulation of the production of new natural products in fungal fermentations: “Metabolomics on the differencial secondary metabolite profiles induced by epigenetic modifiers in Fungal Endophytes, a case study.”
