COSCE agreement for transparency in animal experimentation: 2023 Report.
The COSCE commission for transparency in animal experimentation presented its sixth annual report of the COSCE agreement last December.
Fundacion MEDINA is one of the 166 Spanish institutions that have joined the COSCE agreement for transparency in animal experimentation. The commitments of the COSCE agreement are:
- Transparency about the use of animals in research.
- To provide precise information to the media and the general public on the use of animal models when it is required for a research project and the results obtained from such research.
- Promote initiatives that help the society to better know and understand the use of animals in scientific research.
- Report annual milestones and share experiences.
Researchers at Fundacion MEDINA that teach master's degrees at the University of Granada include in their program the use of the 3Rs in animal experimentation as well as alternative methodologies to avoid animal experimentation.
