MEDINA Foundation, continuing its research efforts on the Discovery of new drugs for the treatment of Tropical Diseases (see note here), participated last February in the IV Zing Drug Discovery Conference that took place in Nerja, Spain. MEDINA’s Frederick Annang, PhD researcher within the European project PARAMET, a Marie Curie Network initiative for the training of researches, presented a poster titled “High Throughput Screening platform for the Discovery of Natural Product-based drugs against three Tropical Diseases; Human African Trypanosomiasis, Leishmaniasis and Chagas disease”. This research is carried out in collaboration with different research groups in the Parasitology & Biomedicine Institute, Lopez-Neyra (CSIC, Granada), the poster was granted the Gold Poster Presentation Award.
