Fundacion MEDINA has attended the SLAS Europe 2022 Conference, an European congress organized by the Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening (slas.org).
Carmen Ramos, Principal Scientist in Screening and Target Validation Area at MEDINA, presented her poster entitled “Resurgence of Natural Products: New Targets and More Efficient Methods in Cancer Research Drug Discovery”, where it is explained how MEDINA has optimized the High Throughput Screening (HTS) methods to use Natural Products in two target-based approaches to discover new anti-tumour drugs: i) using bioimaging techniques to find nuclear translocation stimulators and ii) using protein-protein interaction (PPI) techniques in the discovery of immune checkpoint inhibitors of PD1/PD-L1 interaction.
